Filby Lands & Conservation Trust

A trust has been formed. It is known as Filby Lands & Conservation Trust. It has purchased an initial plot of land in the Village, size approximately half an acre, behind the Village Church, to be planted up as a Community Woodland.

A launch event  planned for 24th March 2020 was cancelled as a result of the Covid - 19 emergency. This will be rescheduled when normality returns. A press anouncement of the formation of the Trust has been made.

We have been successful in getting grant aid to buy the land (Essex & Suffolk Water Branch Out funding). We have obtained the gift of some woodland trees (Woodland Trust) and, now, need to raise funds for Hedgerow trees, Wildflower Meadow planting and creating a Wildlife Pond. We are off to a great start but we can’t do this without your help.
