The couple’s daughter, Pip, also a qualified teacher, leads the weekly term-time drama workshops and directs the annual summer youth theatre production. The group has also staged several community theatre productions involving both adults and children.

Drama Productions
Every year, during the school summer holiday, members of the youth group take part in ‘Drama Week’, a week of rehearsals, set-building, costume-making, prop-making, music, lighting and sound, culminating in three public performances. Although the cast are given their scripts in advance, there are no rehearsals before the week starts. The show evolves as ambitiously as time, talent and energy allow.
This year, the group performed Rudyard Kipling’s ‘The Jungle Book’, adapted for the stage by Stuart Paterson, on 29th and 30th July at Thrigby Wildlife Gardens. This was the group’s 35th annual ‘Drama Week’.
BTG has also been involved in several community theatre projects over the years involving both children and adults from the local villages. Agatha Christie’s ‘Afternoon at the Seaside’ in January 2016 was the group’s first production in Filby Village Hall and the group performed ‘The Mysteries’ in Filby Parish Church in April 2016. BTG will present 'Winter', a seasonal mix of words and music on Saturday 17th December at 6 pm in Filby Village Hall. Tickets £9.00 to include a Ploughman’s Supper. Poster
