Filby Village Hall
The new building was erected on the Village’s Playing Field, on Main Road (A1064), in the centre of the Village. It has a North South orientation with French Doors opening onto the west facing veranda, overlooking the Playing Field, ideal for summer events that might require additional marquee areas.

Hirers of our Hall or Club Room also have access to our Playing Field and our Children's Play Area.

The building’s Floor Area is a total of 440 square metres. It’s focus is a large Main Hall with a stage for theatrical productions and concerts. Stage facilities include wings, a changing room, stage curtains and stage lighting. It is fitted with a projector, screen and sound system to enable Village Cinema events and Business Presentations. The screen is mounted above the stage but can be withdrawn so as not to obstruct lighting during theatrical productions.
The sound system enables hirers for social events to pre-programme their own music on their MP3 Player and just plug it in and play. Broadband connection is made via. a Hi-Speed WiFi connection, open to all.
As part of its events hire package, the hall can accommodate up to 120 people, its licensed capacity, seated, at formal events, at its circular tables. A full complement of tableware is available for those wishing to host a meal. A large selection of rectangular tables is, also, available for events such a Craft Fairs, Jumble Sales and Business Meetings.
Events can be catered using the Hall’s extensive kitchen facilities with access to the main room via a large serving area. The kitchen is equipped with oven, microwave, fridge and instant hot water for tea and coffee.
There is a reception hall with access to male and female WCs. Baby changing stations are available in the First Aid Room and in the Disabled WC.
The Village’s well loved Club Room, a former thatched cottage, adjacent to the hall, has been refurbished recently and is retained as a separate venue for smaller, independent meetings and activity groups. In its grounds are beautiful flower beds, maintained by the Village’s In Bloom Group.
