Visit of the Princess Royal - Uploaded 28th January

The intended arrival at the Playing Field of the Princess Royal, Princess Anne, at 13:15 on Thursday 25th January, by helicopter, did not happen as it was cancelled at the last minute due to low cloud preventing a landing. The small crowd, including children from the village's primary school, were disappointed at the no-show. The visit was to attend the Norfolk Schools Sailing Association sailing base on Filby Broad. It was made later in the day when the Princess arrived by road.

We regret that the Village Hall website, filbyvillagehall.website, together with three other village websites have been down since late December. Our web hosts, Hostgator, reported malware in the Wordpress based sites but have been singularly unhelpful in restoring them. As a result we have bitten bullets and elected to rewrite the sites on a different host, Wix.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused, especially to those who have wished to make a hire booking or check on activity timetables. Trustees have been successful at keeping the on-line booking system operational under difficult circumstances.
